Hello lovely chapter members! My name is Adela, and I have the honor of being your Spring Ball General for 2027. Right now, I’m drooling over some dreamy venues, but to make sure we make the right choice, I need your help! (Pretty please? 🥺)

I want to check if there’s interest in a major upgrade to a very central location (like Konserthuset at Hötorget!) or if we should stick with good old Lavalhallen in Nacka to keep the price down.

Hello chapter! Here comes two important notices regarding META!

The slope to META

As you may have seen, there is a whole lot of renovation happening on the facade of KTH Library along the slope to META. This project is likely continuing for a couple of weeks, if not the entire period.

With the renovations, the slope has become rather untraversable and combined with the heavy and cumbersome material being handled, we can no longer consider it a suitable path to META. We strongly discourage you from travelling on the slope and instead recommend the stairs towards Drottning Kristinas väg.

Closing of META

The company behind the acoustics project is no longer able to come in for the installation next week as originally planned. To make it easier for both the chapters and the company, the project will be actualized during summer, probably around midsummer.

Thus, there is no longer a need to close META next week. The locale will be open and retain its normal functionality. On the other hand, there were more projects planned for that week, so we will be visited by some folk that will work on the lighting. Please show them consideration!

Hello all computer scientists and media technology students!! The time has finally come to remedy the sound environment in META, which will hopefully solve the problems with high noise levels that we have received complaints about and contribute to general well-being and study enviroment.

Unfortunately, this doesn't come completely without cost. We will have to close META for a while so the construction workers can get to installing acoustic panels pretty much all over the venue.

Specifically, the boards for CS and media have decided together to CLOSE META FROM 4/14 TO 4/17 for maintenance work

This means that it will not be possible to study or heat food in META during the day and that no activities such as board game evenings or pubs will take place in the evening during the closure. It will be possible to access our stores if you really need to get something from the premises, but try to get everything you need out before closing, it makes it easier for everyone.

The boards hope that this does not cause too much trouble and wish them a good future stay in META

Almost ten years ago the chapters for Data- and Media technology got married! This marriage has led to many great memories through the years and it is now time to celebrate with a jubileum! However we are in need of a project group that will lead this work! So don't hesitate, and apply now! This chance only comes around every five years!
